                                                     Offhand Slowfire

On the offhand or standing poisition, a sling must be attached to the rifle but cannot be used other then in the grasp of the rifle. On this stage 10 rounds are fired with a time limit of ten minutes. There will be a three minute preperation period prior to starting. The rounds are loaded one at a time on this stage. This course of fire is fired on or simulates 200 yards.

The tip here is not to hold longer then 10 seconds. If you cannot get the shot off, take the rifle down from your shoulder, look away, take a few breaths and try again. There will be plenty of time to get your 10 shots off. You do not want to "rush" this stage.

                                    Sitting Rapid Fire

On sitting rapid, the sling is used and we start from the standing position. You will have one minute to sit down, get into position, fire 2 rounds, change mags and fire 8 more. There will be a 3 minute preperation prior. This stage is fired on or simulates 200 yards. A tip here would be to slow down. There is plenty of time to get off all your shots. Almost all new competitors rush there shots and finish with way too much time left. make your shots count!

                                               Prone Rapid Fire

On this stage we start from the standing position. You will have a minute and 10 seconds to get into the prone position, fire 2 rounds, change mags and fire 8 more. The sling is also used here and there will be a 3 minute preparation period prior. This stage is fired on or simulates 300 yards. The tip is the same as for the sitting rapid, slow down and make your shots count.

                                         Prone Slowfire

On the prone slowfire, we start from the prone position. You will have 20 minutes to get in position and fire 20 rounds. The rounds are single loaded one at a time. There will be a 3 minute preparation period prior. This stage is fired on or simulates 600 yards. The sling is used and to do your very best a spotting scope is needed. A digital timer is also handy to keep track of your time. The tip here is once you are in position, do not move your feet!
